Booking Terms & Conditions

 

 

This agreement is for the hire of the No.10 Coastline Village for short term holiday let. This agreement is formally entered into between P & J A Grant (Owners) and the Hirer when the deposit payment has been received.

 

Our payment terms are as follows: 25% of the total cost of the holiday secures the booking. The payment of the deposit must be made within seven days of the date the booking is acknowledged by No 10 Coastline Village (which is completed by email).  The balance of the holiday (75%) is due 6 weeks before arrival.

 

Your booking will be held for that time but not fully secured until the deposit is received. The balance of the total of your holiday will be due for payment six weeks before the start of your holiday.

 

If you make a booking within six weeks of the start of the holiday we will request the full amount for the booking within 7 days. A fully refundable bond of £100 is also to be paid at the same time as the balance (6 weeks before the start of your holiday).  

 

The booking will automatically be forfeited if the deposit is not made within 7 days (although if there are unavoidable delays, please do contact us to discuss).

 

Should the full payment of the balance not be paid within the timescales above, the booking will be cancelled and the deposit is forfeited. (We would recommend you contacting us at your earliest opportunity if you feel there may be unavoidable delays.

 

All payments will be acknowledged and payment reminders sent by email.

 

Payments can be made by bank transfer, cheque and credit/debit card, only in £ sterling. all necessary details will be supplied via email. 

 

A fully refundable bond of £100 is also required. We expect this to be paid at time of the balance request (or before). (See timescales above). This bond will be returned in full within 7 days of the end of the booking. However, if any damage to the property or contents, beyond reasonable wear and tear, be incurred by the Hirer or excessive additional cleaning be required, the cost of this will be advised to the Hirer after the booking is complete and taken from the bond with proof of damage and costs supplied where possible.

 

Please advise us as soon as possible should a booking need to be cancelled. All cancellations must be notified in writing. If you cancel your holiday more than 6 weeks before it is due to start, then your deposit will be returned to you minus a £50 fee. If you cancel less than 6 weeks before the holiday, then the full balance remains due and is not refundable.

 

We strongly advise that you take out comprehensive travel insurance to cover cancellations. If you choose not to, then you accept responsibility for any loss that you may incur due to your cancellation.

 

Your booking will not be cancelled by the owner except in exceptional circumstances beyond our control. Notification will be given of the cancellation as soon as possible and we will promptly refund all payments made for your holiday. Our liability for cancellation will be limited to payments made to us.

 

Hirer’s Responsibilities 

 

Damages and breakages – please treat the facilities & accommodation with due care so that other guests may continue to enjoy them. If you notice something is missing or damaged in your accommodation, please let us know immediately so that we can take the appropriate action. If there has been any damage or breakages during your stay, we would be grateful if you could report them promptly, especially before check-out  coastlinevillage@gmail.com or M: 07385 108417. The accommodation will be inspected at the end of the holiday & you may be charged for any loss or damage.  Reporting of breakage/damage just allows us to resolve the issue as soon as possible.

 

Excessively soiled linen which requires extra cleaning will be subject to a laundry charge.  Linen which cannot be cleaned will be charged for and deducted from the security bond.

 

Coastline Village reserves the right to charge for any serious damage/breakages/extra cleaning which is deemed outside the normal wear and tear and Hirers are deemed jointly and severally liable. Hirers should not assume that the insurance policy in place at individual properties will be used to cover damage/replacement costs. If substantial damage/repair costs are incurred which exceed the Refundable Bond amount, the Small Claims Court may be used to recoup these.

 

Pets
Only 2 pets are allowed at one time
 

Do not allow pets on the beds without bringing your own cover or using the throws provided. Throws have been provided for the sofa for your pets to sit on to avoid damage and dirty paw prints.  If excessive cleaning is needed, then a charge for this will be deducted from your damage deposit. Guests are responsible for cleaning up after their pets both on the premises and in the area generally.

 

 

Vaping or smoking anywhere inside or within the boundaries of the premises will result in immediate termination of occupancy and forfeiture of all payments. This must be strictly adhered to and any damage or extra cleaning caused by pets or smoking will be at the expense of you.

 

No parties or events – the maximum number of persons using the accommodation at any time must not exceed 4 persons and only those listed on the booking form can occupy the property. We reserve the right to terminate the booking without notice and without refund in case of a breach of this condition.

 

Bookings cannot be accepted from persons under eighteen years of age.

 

Please lock the doors and close the windows when you leave the property unoccupied.

 

Please make sure you switch off lights, heating or any electrical appliances when you go out – we’re an eco-friendly holiday home.

 

Please don’t take any bath towels with you to the beach. Use beach towels (not provided)

 

The Hirer is required to observe and adhere to the requests and instructions in the property.  The Hirer must not use the property or allow its use for any dangerous, offensive, excessively noisy, illegal or immoral activities or carry on there any act that may be a nuisance or annoyance to the property neighbours. This would be deemed a serious breach of the terms of the Agreement and Coastline Village has the right to terminate the Agreement with immediate effect in this instance.

 

Should you require to bring specialist medical equipment such as oxygen tanks, please do inform us in advance as this may need to be advised to the owners insurance company.

 

Coastline Village and its representatives shall not be liable to the Hirer or any member of the Hirer’s party for loss or damage to property howsoever arising. You must take all necessary steps to protect and safeguard your personal property.

 

Guests are responsible for the safety and security of their children at all times. Never leave children without adult supervision.

 

Please park your vehicles in the designated parking space, ensuring cars do not block access to other properties. Parking is limited to 2 vehicles.

 

Please respect the community and try to keep noise levels to a minimum, especially between 11 pm and 8 am.

 

Candles are not allowed inside the house or within the property boundaries.

 

Keys and Directions – Keys and arrival arrangements will be provided by Coastline Village to the Hirer approximately one week before the commencement of hire period. Please note that if any keys issued are not returned at the end of your stay, then the cost of replacement will be charged to you.

 

We reserve the right to terminate a holiday without compensation where the unreasonable behaviour of the persons named on the booking (or their guests) may impair the enjoyment, comfort or health of others.

 

This property is privately owned and is our home. We expect all guests to enjoy the facilities and treat the property with the same respect as they would with their own.

 

 

Owner’s Responsibilities

 

The owner/manager is responsible for ensuring the property is supplied to the Hirer clean, warm and with all appliances/devices/furniture in proper working order. The owner is also responsible for dealing with any problems, equipment malfunction etc as they occur and will make best efforts to remedy any problems that occur during your stay if they are advised of them. Owner’s details are included in the information folder at the property. 

 

Arrival and Departure – Arrival details will also be sent by email approx. 1 week before the commencement of the booking unless the booking commencement date is less than 2 weeks when the arrival details will be sent when full payment has been made.

 

The property will be ready for your arrival after 4pm and need to be vacated by 10am on your day of departure to allow for a full clean and changeover, unless otherwise agreed. Earlier arrivals and later departures are sometimes possible but this will depend on adjacent bookings and is at the discretion of the owners. We reserve the right to charge for an extra night or part thereof if the extension to either an arrival or departure time is more than an hour.

 

Electricity – Electricity charges are included in the cost of renting all the properties

 

Complaints – In the event of a complaint or problem with the provision of the accommodation it must be brought immediately to the attention of the owner who will endeavour to rectify the problem as soon as possible, to ensure the continued enjoyment of your holiday and in all instances before the end of your period of hire. Complaints cannot be addressed if notified after the hire period.

 

Owner access. Owners are entitled to enter their property at any time but will always endeavour to contact guests to arrange a mutually agreeable time. 

 

The owner shall not be liable for any temporary defect or malfunction of any equipment, machinery or appliance in the building or grounds.

 

No compensation will be given for any temporary outage of electricity, gas, water, internet connection or television service.

 

The owners are not responsible for the loss of any personal belongings or valuables of the guest.

 

The owner reserves the right to refuse a booking without giving any reason.

 

We reserve the right to make reasonable amendments or additions to these terms and conditions without notice.
